SERVICES

Teeth cleanings, also known as prophylaxis is a procedure performed by our hygienists. It involves the removal of plaque and tartar (mineralized plaque) from the teeth and aims at preventing dental diseases such as cavities, gingivitis and periodontitis.

Composite fillings are tooth colored restorations used to restore decayed or broken teeth.  Because they are tooth colored, we are able to blend shades that are nearly identical to that of the actual tooth.  Composite fillings also bond to the remaining tooth structure which helps prevent breakage.

A crown is a type of dental restoration that completely caps or covers the remaining tooth structure.  Crowns are often needed following root canal treatment or when a large portion of the tooth has broken.  Crowns are fabricated using a variety of materials including gold, porcelain, porcelain fused to metal and zirconia to name a few.

Root canal therapy or endodontic therapy is the treatment of the pulp of the tooth.  This treatment results in the elimination of infection as well as the nerve and blood vessels in the tooth. Following the removal of infected tissue, the root is sealed with a material called gutta-percha.

Dental implants are used to replace missing teeth.  The implants are used to support a dental prosthesis such as a crown, bridge or denture. After the implant is placed and allowed to integrate, the corresponding restoration is then attached to the implant.

Dentures, also known as false teeth are a prosthesis used to replace missing teeth.  These are removable appliances that use the surrounding hard and soft tissues for support.  Partial dentures rely on the remaining teeth for support and retention. Partials can be fabricated with a metal framework or with a flexible acrylic material.
